Sweet!!!

I listened to some of the original before hearing this & then I skipped the intro talking & went to the song & I couldn't even listen to it for like 15 sec. cuz it just sounded horrible to me.

I like how you edited the voice & made it sound more anime. The original, I think, was ok with the vocals, but I like the vocals better in this one. They kinda repeat, a lot, but I still liked it.

Usually I'm not a remix person. Me & my friend, Nugget, as we call him, made this joke. We were like "a remix is just like ok I'm gonna open up my program & make the remix...(clicks) done." We say that cuz a remix usually always sounds the same as the original, but this sounded way different, Rainwave style :)

The chord progression was excellent, unlike the original, simple beat, nice filtering & FX's, good variation, & whatever else I can't really think of.

Good job again, I was excited when I saw you had a new song. Keep up the awesome work!!!

Thanks a lot man! I'm really glad you liked this one.
I liked the vocals, but a lot of people don't so I was afraid people wouldn't like it.
And as for this remix, it took me just as long as it would take me for an average song, so It's not two clicks away :P
Anyway, the review means a lot, thanks! :D

Enchanting!!!

I've always liked your work & seeing you back in action is great! & I'm never dissapointed by your songs either. This was a nice change in variety in genre to hear from you.

Everything was in tune, the song had some variety, the concept was original, & it has me picturing a winter theme where your fighting snowmen in the town or somethin' :D

What's good is that your dubstep wobbles applied to this techno song, but the wobbles also sounded more techno too & it had a good variety, which is good for both techno, dubstep, & whatever other genre you can use a wobble bass in, besides the subs of dubstep.

The drum pattern was basic & good. I'd prefer a little more kick in there then the hi-hats, but the hi-hats also set the winter mood, so just more kick & keep the hi-hats.

The bells were nice & what I mainly liked about the song. The bells are like the main part of the song. It's not likely to hear bells like that in techno which is what made it perfect!

The only problem I have with this song is that in the breaks for the bells & that one break with just the drums, it increases the volume a little much & when everything comes back, it sounds detuned & it seems to have a lower volume then the break itself.

This song was enjoyable overall. It had a good atmosphere because of the bells & had a good intro & outro. Nice job man!!!

Thanks a ton man! Great review!

Thanks for your great tips and observations!
The "bells" are actually a sine wave (from sytrus of course) with some other waves modifying it and some simple FX, which is what gives it the cool sound that blends well into techno.

Drums are not my strong suit and I appreciate any tips that I get cause I just wanna get better.

Thanks again man!

Pretty cool!

It's been a long time since I've reviewed one of your songs. I did enjoy this song, even for just bein' a WIP. This is pretty different & what I mean by that is the wobble bass, which is still pretty good. I do have a couple suggestions though.

1, that drop was kinda like weak sauce. The pop-up of the song was awesome, but the drop was too weak which made a cheap execution.

2, raise them vocals or lower the actual song volume cuz the vocals are hear-able, but the song is so loud itself that it's either I can't hear the singin' or I just can't understand him. Victory has some good vocals in there too, just raise them up or tune down everything else. I do understand your changin' the harsh mids, but I still think the vocals must be raised either way.

Those are just my 2 main issues there. My small issue is that it gets a little repetitive since you added everything & then there's nothin' else added later, but then again the variety was great in this song.

Maybe more variety with the vocals, beat, & more lyrics, but the wobble bass & 8-Bit was great. The only thing I would suggest for the wobble bass is just less harsh & more wubs, but then again I wouldn't know how that would go so this might just be good.

Good Job on this & I'm curious to hear the finished version.

I love your reviews, you don't half-ass them.

1, really? hmm I guess I can work on that

2, that was actually on my list of things to do

and yeah variety will happen later, I'm dragging it on, cause my songs always end up being too short.

Nice, collab was great idea!!!

I actually like this way better. I mean the beat was friken awesome, the original stuff, the break with the strings was a great addition with the perfect ammount of reverb, nice 808 drop there after the snare roll, & awesome synth added in there with the song at the end. I feel that this was truly a good experience for you 2 since the song went perfect! Great job again, glad I could hear this on my B-Day!!!

Awww Happy birthday! :O

My dads birthday today too! LOL ^^

Weird good?!?!

Haa, you know, I've been listenin' to this multiple times today & I really like it now. It's funny how the lyrics are, but for some reason when he says "I NAMED HIM CARL...AHHHHH (laugh)" that's what I love to hear & then the song comes back. it sounds so weirdly good that I've become addicted to this song. You should actualy make it a longer song :D Only thing I'd suggest is eeeze up on the bass lead, but that's it. Good job even though this was a joke XD

GrantBowtie responds:

Hahahaha I'm amazed anyone liked this :P
Well I'm so glad that you do!!
I'ma post the beat as an instrumental make it longer and tweak the bass a little. So check back if you want.

Awesomeness x8!!!

Ha, this was awesome. I say that you must finish this because it's just that good.

I mean the 8-bit structure was just pure epicness & original, the bass was great, the 8-bit beat was good, awesome intro & outro, & a nice break there in the middle that brought it to somehow another break instead of going back right away.

This kinda reminded me of Unicorn Kid, if you've ever heard of him. If you hadn't you should check it cuz it kinda reminds me of his song 8 Bytes.

Anyways, great job & you should extend this!!!

Thanks for reviewing, I guess I might have to finish this then xD

DAMN!!!

This is it. This WIP right here is my jam. So glad you posted this cuz I swear to god, for just bein' a WIP, this is the oldskool swagg of a lifetime. I mean listen to this miracle. You got your funky upright bass, awesome oldbeat drums, nice strings attached in there, & that brass break is like imaginin' myself in a jazz club with a black guy playin' the saxophone XD!!! If you can get some to rap with this then that would be amazing. & not just rap, but a rap the right way & old skool. A fresh old skool idea really. Dude, again, this is amazing, so FINISH THIS!!!

DJM00se responds:

yeah bro. i hope i can get an old skool rapper in on this. im gonna put a nice saxophone break in too!

Hard hittin' drums=SUCCESS

Now I know how my drums should be from listenin' to this. Plus that filter on the drums at some points worked out perfect because the kick sounded awesome when filtered.

Good thing it's a short song cuz I couldn't see this being any longer or it would be reptitive, unless you really had a good variety, which you had here.

The main lead in the beginning is pretty awesome & the end too. It was nice how you switched from this enchanting, upbeat DnB to dark, atmospheric DnB in the whole middle of the song then switched back up with a fade to end it with upbeat again.

My only problem is really the bass. I could still tell it was bass, but since it was really high passed, it sounded kinda weird. Not really annyoing, but kinda outta tune & dark with the main lead, if you know what I'm saying.

Somethin' heavier that hides under all the synths or the main lead, but is still hearable which can carry out the song is good, but don't forget variety on it too, which you did with this static bass.

Even a bassdrum could probably work out too, but the bass was a little too high passed & noticeable for my taste. Either then that, great job on this song & I'll be expecting more!

Jassummisko responds:

Thx for the review man, and you're right...the bass is pretty high passed but yeah...

BTW I don't know if you got it but the static hits on every bar indicate acid drops....get it the song is called acid rain hehe!

Wow, touchin'

The timing was great, the moment was touching, & this was funny. I could totally see someone make a flash with this & some weird lookin' guy yellin' at some old crippled guy. Good job on this one!

Thank you very much, but I have to give credit to the song writer. I was reviewing their stuff and this is what I thought up and put down for their review, heh.

Sweet Victory, Oh Yea!

This had some swagg to it for sure. That organ for the intro & the rest was awesome, that brass is what gives this song it's main swagg, that piano was great during the breaks, the beat was pretty slick, nice snare rolls you got goin' there, & that kick was great. When this song gets a rap, then it'll be perfect. I noticed that it gets repetitive, but that is how it's suppose to be for the rapper. Great job on this one & I hope to see more!

DJM00se responds:
