Mysterious & Great!!!

I was so pumped up for this song & then I heard it... & I LOVED IT!!!

I'll critique 1st. Although, very nice mood changes, & I know you're still working on this & will update it, it just feels funny how some feel like DnB & then sorta Drumstep. This does sound like multiple songs, but all good, with respectable quality indeed.

I could picture this being in a action flash movie or game. It's also nice how you changed the mood, but kept it the same at times & just added a little more to it for more zest.

Your drums never disspoint me. Just enough kick to get me interested in your songs. You don't even really use to much hi-hats, yet the snare & kick always does it right.

All the synths & pads were epic!!! I liked the more calmer parts of the song because it just felt so emotional to this song. The actioney parts reminded me of The Matrix or something.

1:41, when the new mood comes, was my favorite because it sounds like it could be dubstep with that wobble drop you did at 1:57, but then changes into this awesome, soothing pad with a nice synth & dubstep beat, at least that's what I would guess saying that snare just sounds like it. Then it plays again at the end of the song, but in a DnB beat and just more epic :D

The actual calm parts sound almost like your sailing the sea at night telling tales & stuff. For the fast motion parts, they were just your fast style paced DnB right there, which I expected from such a great artist.

Overall, another great DnB classic by one of my favorite NG/Music Artists ever!!! Hearing some of those great wobbles, you should consider making a dubstep song.

Epic!!!

I was just like "Hmmmm, I predict Rainwave should have a new song cuz he's Rainwave & it takes him awhile to make new songs with the amount of effort he uses so let's check cuz it's been forever. Like 2 whole weeks!!! Or something like that." :P

I wen't to your page & I was like "HOLY CRAP, YES, I WAS RIGHT, & THE SCORE IS AWESOME SO THE SONG IS AWESOME AUTOMATICALLY SO AUTOMATIC 5." & I was right to give it a 5, cuz I can't find nothin' wrong with this.

Your GF must have good taste in rhythm & music cuz this is a pretty fast paced rhythm. This reminds of Dream Of Eternity where it goes from happy to happier when everything plays again...oh...wait...I just realized with this sentence that it's spelled almost the same so that's why they're similiar :D

Anyways, the synths are amazing & very dancey-trancey, the beat is moving, the bass is grooving, & the BPM is just right.

I like how you started the song right away. Sometimes I get bored with intro's & sometimes I skip it if it sucks & comment on that. Same with the outro, simple & good with the perfect amount of reverb.

Tell me, I just got FL Studio 10, what VST's do you use. If you bought them, well, I guess I'd still like to know, cuz I love the sound of your songs, but if you somehow got some free, can you send me a PM with the links? Thanx!!!

Overall, great song. You get:

THANKS! :D
Haha, I love your reviews man, they're full of awesomeness :D
As I was making this, it had the same bpm and also a bit of the style of Dream of Eternity, so I thought it would be appropriate to give it a rather similar name!
I got FL9, lately I've been using:
Mostly Nexus2 and Sylenth, a lot of sylenth, practicing a lot more synths from scratch. A bit of V-station and z3ta, but only in rare occasions. And sometimes vanguard. And I havn't bought anything :D
I'll try to send you some links, you could always check google for torrents towards thepiratebay.
Thanks for the votes, the fav, the dl and the SMILEY! :D

Hmmm, I don't know which is better

Part 1 or 2?? Hmm...how 'bout...BOTH!!! Cuz man this song is off the hook, even for just a preview. I think I already heard, I was just to lazy to review & played Goin Up :P

Anyhow, you & O-Prime did great!!! I can't really say who did better, but I'm guessing he was the one on piano, which sounded very touching & professional. Like I said for a review in his song, Time Travel, his piano playing never upsets me.

As for you, that brass never gets old. What I liked about the brass during the piano break is how it was just kinda low then it just popped back in, but with good transitioning.

When you guys made the collab, who did the beat, you, O-Prime, or both cuz either way is sounds awesome!!! Maybe a little to hi-hatty for me, but I did like the hi-hats during the break since there was less of it. But that snare really pops out & you made a good, hard kick.

Overall, great job. With the efforts of both of you guys, this turned out really nice. I mean great FX's, like that 808 bass drop, & more!!!

DJM00se responds:

i was on that beat, prime was on that piano (TOO MUCH SWAG) . i added that little low sounding brass at the very end while i was listening and i thought it would sound sick and it does haha! prime also had the fx, cause hes a boss with those. anyway thanks for the review!

Man!!!

I've been wondering when a new song by you was gonna come out. Then I saw one of your posts cuz I wondering if there was any info why it's taking so long to get anotha hit here & then I figured out why. But then I go to the hip hop page & see this song by TFreezy with a vote of 4 5's & I got so excited & then I heard this... & IT WAS DA S**T MANE!!!

It's nice how your voice has good clarity. I like to understand what the rapper raps. Sure you were rapping kinda fast cuz I didn't catch a word or two during the song, but it's nice that you can rap fast & fit it in.

Tell WyteNoiz that this beat he made was awesome!!! The actual music was just awesome. It sounded different from other hip hop songs on NG, which I like. I think, just for fun, you should post the instrumental on here cuz if this is going on my I-Pod, it'd be nice to have the instrumental too!!!

Overall, your getting better & better, one of your best songs yet man, keep it up!!!

TFreezyTFZ responds:

Thanks man ! Ive been R E A L L Y busy with my personal life and i havent had time to sit down and make a track.

And thank you for noticing the quality ! I spend ALOT of time trying to make at sound as perfect as possible. But as for uploading the instrumental, you can just head over to his page, the beat is called "Lemme Hear Ya Say...".

Once again, thanks for the feedback. Its guys like you that let me know im doing the right thing and strive to do better.

Sweet!!!

Glad to see a song with such focus on the melody. It's really nice to hear a change in hip hop from ghetto/pimp to relaxing/dramatic.

The beat fit well with this song. What's great about your songs is that you always have a variety of claps. The only advice I have for the beat is turn the volume up for the beat or just the kick.

The orchestral part of this song was amazing. Your songs sound really professional when you know how to make the mood for the title of the song & that's what you did hear.

It was also nice that you had variety & different pitches with your strings to make the song more interesting.

& I don't know how you compose such wonderful notes on that piano, but you somehow did it again! You managed to make something original that I never heard of.

Overall, this was a really good song. It's songs like this that make you more interested in the genre & artist. Great work!!!

O-Prime125 responds:

Thank you for such an outstanding review, I try my best to vary my kicks/claps and instruments, I always do try new things in my songs to interest the audience, once again thanks a lot!

Yeah boiii!!!

This is what I'm lookin' for from you. Sayin' that I already gave you 2 big reviews, I probably won't make this one as big, but whatever.

Agreeing with MisterJayElectro, it does have a couple spots of repetitiveness, it still has a good amount of variation to it.

Not much else to say. I mean good instrumentation, nice synths, sweet percussions, good sweep FX, great atmosphere, etc. etc.
10/10 & 5/5

YakovlevArt responds:

haha, yeah yeah!
Your are both right, i might have made it a bit long. I wanted that true FULL TRANCE track length.
I will try to watch out on the repetition on my future tracks.
Thanks man!

Nice!!!

That intro sounded hot right there, man!!! & how it rised so quickly was still good!!! Usually I'm that kinda person that likes a medium length intro from at least :10-1:00 so you made a short intro that I liked.

I like those vocals you added in there, gives the track a mysterious feel to it like it is the nighttime already.

I like how that synth at 1:19 kicked in & it's offbeat, but in a good way. It really gives the song some zest there.

The beat was just nice & simple. I'd expect somethin' a little harder sayin' that this song is trying to be a club song, but it's good enough for me.

The problem I have with this song is that it has small variety in it. Sure, it's a club song, but I think this needs more variety to it if people truly were truly dancing to this.

Either then that, nice job on this one too!!! Give a listen to my latest 3 dance songs, I think you'd like 'em :D
9/10 & 5/5

YakovlevArt responds:

Agree on everything that you said.
I think once i made this melody I knew the mood it created alongside the idea i had for it made me know what I wanted out of this track. Punchy bass and entrancing simple melody.

When making it i thought of the exact opposite you said about the repetition. I've been to raves and clubs. With this i was imagining a rave/ (European)Club people are tripping out of their minds, lasers are flashing, fog to the ceiling and everything is in slow-motion. At this point, one doesn't notice the repetition to a track, they just love the vibration in their chest from the bass...At least that's how i feel =]

Thought I understand where you are coming from. Thanks a bunch for the reviews man, really appreciate it!

That was really nice!!!

What made this better is that it was all hand played & recorded great. I think the drum volume could've been louder, but it had enough variety so no points off for that.

The piano was brilliant. It sounds like I'd be wantin' to dance with my girl in a bar in some kinda DIsney movie or somethin' when they all randomly dance :D At 1st I thought some of the sounded off at 2:17, but I realized with my earbuds they actually aren't.

I think the bass guitar should also have more volume cuz I didn't even know there was one until I read the description & put in my earbuds to hear it. It sounded wonderful, but I think it needs more volume to it.

Overall, nice song. Agreeing with the guy below, maybe some more melodies, but sayin' that this is jazz, you can't really add to much to it. I think your dad would be very proud of you with this song :)
9/10, 5/5, & Fav.

DragonX016 responds:

Thanks for the review! yeah the part at 2:17 honestly took me like 20 takes even though it's straight from 1 to 5/7 chords lol. By that point in the night i was more than halfway through a bottle of Jack...I'm lucky this turned out as well as it did (and that I didn't get the cops called on me for making noise till daylight lol). Ur right-the bass does need to come up a bit. Noted and edited.

Sweet!!!

I listened to some of the original before hearing this & then I skipped the intro talking & went to the song & I couldn't even listen to it for like 15 sec. cuz it just sounded horrible to me.

I like how you edited the voice & made it sound more anime. The original, I think, was ok with the vocals, but I like the vocals better in this one. They kinda repeat, a lot, but I still liked it.

Usually I'm not a remix person. Me & my friend, Nugget, as we call him, made this joke. We were like "a remix is just like ok I'm gonna open up my program & make the remix...(clicks) done." We say that cuz a remix usually always sounds the same as the original, but this sounded way different, Rainwave style :)

The chord progression was excellent, unlike the original, simple beat, nice filtering & FX's, good variation, & whatever else I can't really think of.

Good job again, I was excited when I saw you had a new song. Keep up the awesome work!!!
10/10 & 5/5

Indigorain responds:

Thanks a lot man! I'm really glad you liked this one.
I liked the vocals, but a lot of people don't so I was afraid people wouldn't like it.
And as for this remix, it took me just as long as it would take me for an average song, so It's not two clicks away :P
Anyway, the review means a lot, thanks! :D

Enchanting!!!

I've always liked your work & seeing you back in action is great! & I'm never dissapointed by your songs either. This was a nice change in variety in genre to hear from you.

Everything was in tune, the song had some variety, the concept was original, & it has me picturing a winter theme where your fighting snowmen in the town or somethin' :D

What's good is that your dubstep wobbles applied to this techno song, but the wobbles also sounded more techno too & it had a good variety, which is good for both techno, dubstep, & whatever other genre you can use a wobble bass in, besides the subs of dubstep.

The drum pattern was basic & good. I'd prefer a little more kick in there then the hi-hats, but the hi-hats also set the winter mood, so just more kick & keep the hi-hats.

The bells were nice & what I mainly liked about the song. The bells are like the main part of the song. It's not likely to hear bells like that in techno which is what made it perfect!

The only problem I have with this song is that in the breaks for the bells & that one break with just the drums, it increases the volume a little much & when everything comes back, it sounds detuned & it seems to have a lower volume then the break itself.

This song was enjoyable overall. It had a good atmosphere because of the bells & had a good intro & outro. Nice job man!!!

Omega-Ravager responds:

Thanks a ton man! Great review!

Thanks for your great tips and observations!
The "bells" are actually a sine wave (from sytrus of course) with some other waves modifying it and some simple FX, which is what gives it the cool sound that blends well into techno.

Drums are not my strong suit and I appreciate any tips that I get cause I just wanna get better.

Thanks again man!
